“Defects of a Crystal Lattice” (C24) from Ames Sanglantes explores the illusory structure of a system while exploiting it’s flaws. This brewing cauldron of digital undergrowth boils over and over itself continuously flowing in the never ending structure of the formula. White-noise blasts flow next to distorted low frequencies. Anton Mobin’s “Silniejszym Od Bomb” (C65) presents two sides of Mobin’s auditory memories while traveling from his native country of France to Warsaw, Poland in 2013. Featuring spliced together sound fragments from a micro-cassette recorder, musical ideas, spoken phrases, wildlife calls, and the reverberations of different locations along the journey establish a journalistic collection of experience.
